Formed in 1991 in East London, East 17 were the grittier, streetwise answer to the polished pop of their era. Named after the postcode of Walthamstow, the band fused hip-hop, dance and pop into something the UK had never heard before.
From the debut single "House of Love" to the legendary Christmas number one "Stay Another Day", East 17 dominated the charts with 18 Top 20 singles and four Top 10 albums. Their music was sharp, political and unapologetically street — selling over 18 million records worldwide.
Today, the band continues to tour and perform across the UK and Europe, bringing those iconic tracks to stages everywhere. The legacy lives on.
